Maxillofacial Prosthetics
Maxillofacial prosthodontics is the art and science of functional, or cosmetic reconstruction by means of non-living substitutes for those regions in the maxilla, mandible, and face that are missing or defective because of surgical intervention, trauma, pathology, or developmental or congenital malformation.
Prostheses are made for reconstructing missing/ deformed ear, nose,eyes or even part of face.
Dr. Sadiq Ali has undergone training in maxillofacial prosthetics as a part of his post graduate programme. He is more experienced in fabricating eye prosthesis.
